Locanda Le due Travi is practically located in the historic centre of Trento, 2 minutes from the Buonconsiglio Castle and 150 metres from the train station. It is a popular destination for guests interested in the many activities the area offers, from the culture to the neighbouring tourist areas and, thanks to its strategic location, it is very popular in winter during the Christmas Markets. The building, which has historic origins and has undergone several changes over the years, was derived from a historic residence of the 1500s, and was completely renovated in 2018 and divided into a restaurant on the ground floor and rooms on the upper floors. The environment is warm and welcoming and gives a fresh and youthful impression, while on the exterior facade the Art Nouveau style of the early 1900s has been preserved.

The management is family-run and boasts over thirty years of experience in the catering sector; in fact the Travaglia family previously owned and successfully managed the historic Old Bar of Trento.
The daughters Elisa and Alessia, known as “le due Travi” (the two Beams), who gave their name to the place, arrived to help their parents and add a touch of innovation.

Novità in centro storico
Una nuova proposta nel centro storico di trento, un locale che fonde tradizione e innovazione con un arredamento in legno che richiama il nostro bel territorio di montagna. Proposta aperitivo stile Barcellona con tapas da accompagnare ad un buon calice, data la vasta scelta che offre la carta. Birre e vini sono stati selezionati con cura. Ristorante con un menù molto ricercato per chi ama sperimentare nuovi sapori. Il servizio è giovane e ancora in rodaggio ma diamoli tempo e sicuramente diventerà un punto di riferimento per l’aperitivo in citta.
Polipo super!!
Mi sono fermato per un pranzo senza sapere bene cosa mangiare, lo chef mi consiglia il polipo arrostito abbinato ad una insalata di finocchi tagliati fini e spicchi di arancia, devo dire che dal non sapere cosa mangiare e ritrovarmi nel piatto un polipo cucinato in maniera sublime abbinato a questa insalata profumatissima mi ha fatto veramente felice, se poi aggiungiamo il servizio impeccabile e un locale molto caldo e accogliente allora il gioco è fatto. Complimenti avanti così!!
Qualità e cortesia
Giorgio, lo chef, ci ha illustrato le sue creazioni nella sala ristorante. Pochi tavoli raccolti in taverna, senza confusione, dove si riesce ad avere una bella conversazione con i commensali. Per gli amanti della vita, del bicchiere di vino al banco e delle tapas locali c’e’ il piano all’ingresso. Locale molto carino, finalmente qualcosa di moderno e antico allo stesso tempo a Trento. Consigliatissimo. Un ringraziamento particolare ai conduttori, sempre gentili e accoglienti ogni volta che passiamo a trovarli.
Calore e sapore
Dalla colazione al dopo cena, un nuovo locale in cui essere accolti come a casa, senza schemi o formalismi: diversi spazi adatti a single, coppie o gruppi. Di alta qualità sia il cibo che le bevande (eccellente scelta di birre). Vincente la formula delle tapas molto curate che consentono – in alternativa al menu tradizionale – di modulare la serata in compagnia.
